Worship is our response to God’s steadfast love and faithfulness. It acknowledges our covenant with God. Together, we worship through the actions of praise, thanksgiving, confession, reconciliation, lament, offering, hearing and responding to God’s word, and going forth into our world. We cultivate this relationship with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit through song, silence, and involvement of our senses and body. Hymnal: A Worship Book, Sing the Journey and Sing the Story are the primary source of our worship hymns. We participate in God’s grace and anticipation of a new kingdom through actions like communion, anointing, and baptism. We worship together because it is the core of who we are as individuals and as a body of believers. Our actions reflect our beliefs, which are formed by our worship.
